The Wellness Wheel: Reflective Questions

In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s easy to lose sight of the balance required to nurture all areas of our well-being. The Wellness Wheel is a great tool to reflect on different aspects of your life, assess your satisfaction in each area, and create a plan for growth. This blog post will guide you through the process, starting with reflective warm-up questions and ending with actionable steps to align your life with your values and aspirations.

Warm-Up: Setting the Stage for Reflection

Before diving into the Wellness Wheel, take a moment to reflect on where you are right now. Here are a few warm-up questions to help you tune in:

  • What’s been on your mind lately?
  • Which areas of your life feel fulfilling and balanced?
  • Where do you feel tension or unmet needs?

Once you’re grounded, you’re ready to explore each dimension of the wheel.

Activity: Rating and Reflecting

For each category, rate your satisfaction on a scale of 1 to 10. After rating, dive deeper:

  • Why did you give this rating?
  • What steps could you take to improve this area?

Consider the following prompts to guide your reflection:

Reflection

  1. What strengths do you already have in this area?
  2. What challenges or obstacles are holding you back?

Vision

  1. What would a 10/10 in this area look like?
  2. How does this area align with your values and long-term goals?

Action

  1. What small, actionable steps can you take to improve?
  2. Who or what can support you?

Prioritization

  1. How important is this area to your overall happiness?
  2. Do you need to address other areas first to see improvement here?

Accountability

  1. How will you measure progress?
  2. How will you celebrate milestones along the way?

Post-Activity Reflections

After completing the Wellness Wheel, take time to process your insights:

  • What surprised you about your ratings?
  • Which areas of your life feel most fulfilling?
  • Where do you see the greatest opportunity for growth?

This exercise is not about perfection but about creating awareness and intentionality in your life.
